Get Out of Town!
The ideal country getaway is closer than you think.
Ever feel like getting out of the city to try something new, to enjoy the outdoors or simply to indulge your foodie side… only to feel discouraged at the thought of wasting hours in your car to do any of this? Well, then, the Basses-Laurentides region might just be the perfect place for you to visit!
What you’ll find there is a treasure trove of agrotourism ready for you discover, right off the island of Montreal. For example, the Parc national d’Oka, with its camping sites and its hiking trails, is approximately only an hour away from the downtown core!
In order to bring more attention to everything this region has to offer, Tourisme Basses-Laurentides has chosen Mikaël Kingsbury, the Olympic champion who calls it home, as its spokesperson. Agence Rinaldi-Maestro is proud to have contributed to the creation of the campaign surrounding this new partnership. We were tasked with creating the brand image, the graphics (we even redecorated the outside wall of the Tourism Office with Mikaël’s picture… go big or go home, we say!) as well as the social media aspect of the campaign. Yup, the hashtags #accrotourisme and #BassesLau, that’s Rinaldi-Maestro at work! But we’re not done yet! Stay tuned to see our upcoming videos!
We’d like to use this occasion to point out that fall is an excellent time to visit the Basses-Laurentides region in order to enjoy all its wonders. The grape harvest starts on September 21st at the Rivière du Chêne vineyard, the local orchards and berry farms invite you to come apple and strawberry picking until late October, and lest we forget, autumn is also squash picking time! That being said, all the fun and the delicious food are there for you to savour all year round.
